A thief robbed an on-duty NYCHA employee at gunpoint at a Brooklyn housing project, officials said Saturday.
Worker Alex Cruz, 37, was on the second-floor landing of a DeKalb Ave. building — part of the Roosevelt Houses in Bushwick — just before noon on Thursday when a man asked him for the time. When Cruz checked his phone, the suspect pulled a gun and pointed it at his head, demanding his property.
The thief ran off with $60 and the employee’s iPhone, cops said.
Cruz is an elevator mechanic helper, according to the website
